Having a keen interest in history, we immediately appreciated the significance of living in a home that was planned during Civil War times and the days of the Woman’s Rights movement in the United States.
Very few owners had dwelled at this address from 1858 to present day, resulting in much of the original character of the home remaining intact. When we moved to Waterloo in 2003, we were excited about restoring this significant home to near its original state; however, it was clear that this project was more than two could handle. Fortunately, Caren’s parents were available to help by lending their years of experience to our challenge. (In other words, they worked their fingers to the bone, well almost.) Caren and Perry truly enjoy meeting their guests from all around the world and feel that living in the Finger Lakes area of New York is like a perpetual vacation. They will make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive, and with their lifelong love of cooking, fine dining and entertaining, will ensure your stay is special right down to the smallest detail. |
